Groups such as, the Wellness Councils of America are dedicated to helping the nation’s employees lead healthier lives. The tips and strategies outlined in 101 Ways to Wellness are offered as a means to assist you in creating a healthier workplace. And now that Americans are working more and more, the workplace may be theideal place to address health and wellness. One idea documented in their strategy is to recommend physical activity. Overweight and physical inactivity account for 300,000 premature deaths annually—second only to tobacco related deaths. There are a number of fun activities you can do to help promote physical activity with your workplace and bowling is one of them.
An insurance carrier and benefits consultant introduced the concept of a wellness program as a way of increasing productivity, decreasing absenteeism and cutting health care costs for both the employee and the company.
A company’s wellness coordinator said their employees signs a pledge and are then eligible to earn incentive points by participating in a long list of available health-related activities. The wellness program is ingrained in the corporate culture with year-round activities and wellness events, such as bowling, volleyball and a variety of sports.
3-D Bowl/Sideouts is a great place to achieve some of these goals. We are located in Island Lake off Route 176 and Roberts Road between Crystal Lake and Wauconda. We have 20 state of the art lanes of bowling, party rooms, a restaurant, 5 of the areas number one beach volleyball courts, outdoor patio with fire pit, horseshoes, Baggo & Bocci Ball courts. Not to mention Live Music on Friday and Saturday nights and 30 High Def TV’s playing all of your favorite sports all day long.
So, having said all of that… we would like to offer you an opportunity to form a in-house (employees & family only) bowling league, customized to your needs. We can set up the league after a shift change, during the day or even late at night. In order to get the ball rolling we would like to set up a date for a free bowling party.
